Christina Doherty Named 61st President of the American Academy of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants
HOUSTON, TEXAS – FCA Corp proudly announces that Christina Doherty, Vice President & Director of Financial Planning, has been installed as the President of the American Academy of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants (AAA-CPA). The installation ceremony took place on June 29, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX. Christina is only the fifth woman to serve as President and one of the youngest members to assume this prestigious role.
“I am honored to step into the role of President of this remarkable organization. My background brings a different perspective to this leadership role. And, my long term involvement provides an opportunity to honor our unique history while addressing the needs for our future,” Doherty said.
The AAA-CPA is a national organization for dually licensed Attorney-CPAs, dedicated to preserving the rights of dual practitioners and providing members with quality education, networking opportunities, and resources to enhance their professional endeavors.
Christina holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and a B.S. in Spanish from Texas Christian University, a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University, and a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University. She has been a member of the AAA-CPA Board of Directors for nearly seven years and has served on the Executive Committee since 2020.
At FCA Corp, Christina advises individual and business clients on a broad range of financial and tax issues. She also plays an integral role in operations and tax compliance. Prior to joining FCA Corp, Christina worked at Deloitte in their Tax Controversy practice.
